Health center in Garifuna comunity

 

THE PROBLEM

The village of Triunfo de la Cruz had a obsolete health center. The Honduran government threatened to close it due not to meet the required standard and therefore cut access to care for 9,000 residents plus 4000 from nearby villages.

PROJECT

We have renovated and built a modern annex with the help of Quebec CEGEP (college) and CARE International to make it fully operational.
